GAME RECAP

Glenn Robinson scored 27 points and Milwaukee held Cleveland without a field goal over the first 5:07 of the fourth quarter and defeated the Cavaliers, 99-93.

Ray Allen chipped in with 25 points and eight assists, including 12 points in the fourth quarter, and former Cavalier Tyrone Hill added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Milwaukee, which snapped a three-game losing streak and won for only the second time in its last nine games at Cleveland.

"I thought we did an outstanding job," Milwaukee coach Chris Ford said. "We took tremendous care of the ball. We had only 11 turnovers and that was a big key for us."

Bob Sura hit for a career-high 30 points, Wesley Person added 17 and Vitaly Potapenko 11 rebounds for Cleveland, which suffered its third straight loss at Gund Arena and fourth defeat in five games overall. Sura had 13 of his points in the fourth quarter.

"Sura came in and had a big night for them but we shut down their other big guns," said Ford. "After they tied it at the end of the third quarter, we came out in the fourth and really executed offensively and shut them down defensively."

"We had a tough game," Cleveland coach Mike Fratello said. "It's not a good sign for us when teams are scoring close to 100 points. Sura was the guy that kept us in the game."

With the game tied 65-65 after three quarters, Milwaukee put together an 18-5 spurt over the first six minutes of the fourth quarter to take an 83-70 lead. Allen had nine points during the burst and Hill five, with Allen's three-pointer at 6:10 capping it off.

Cleveland's first six points of the quarter all came on free throws, before Zydrunas Ilgauskas hit a short shot in the lane with 4:53 remaining to make it 83-73 Milwaukee.

The Bucks maintained a 10-point lead up until the final minute, when the Cavaliers put together a short 7-0 flurry, capped off by a jumper by Knight with 15.4 seconds left to pull Cleveland within 96-91. Robinson answered with a pair of free throws, and after Potapenko hit a layup, Allen added a final free throw.

"We broke down in the third quarter and got kind of selfish and started playing individual basketball," Allen said. "We lost the lead and they came back. We started passing the ball again and running (in the fourth quarter) and all that paid off. We didn't let them run their offense. Once we got over their pick and rolls they had no options."

Milwaukee opened a 47-43 lead at halftime, with Robinson contributing 16 points. A 14-4 burst over the first half of the third quarter, with Allen accounting for five points and Hill four, helped the Bucks extend their lead to 61-47.

Cleveland climbed back into the game with a run of its own, this one a 17-4 spurt, to pull within 63-59 after a jumper by Sura -- who had seven points during the rally -- at the 3:25 mark. A three-pointer by Person, a free throw by Ilgauskas and a basket by Knight pulled the Cavs into a 65-65 tie at the end of the third quarter.

"It was kind of a breakthrough game for me," said Sura, who missed 35 games with a sprained left ankle. "I'm still not healthy but I'm getting better every day. They outworked us tonight and that is the bottom line. We have a lot of talented players but we need to come out to play every night and find a way to get our emotion back. We are not playing with the same fire and enthusiasm we had earlier this season."
