GAME RECAP

Jim Jackson scored 26 points and Erick Dampier added 17 as the shorthanded Golden State Warriors held the San Antonio Spurs to three field goals in the final quarter en route to a 90-83 upset victory.

The win, which snapped a four-game losing streak, came hours after an arbitrator's decision to reduce the NBA's suspension to guard Latrell Sprewell, who was banned for a year after choking Warriors coach P.J. Carlesimo.

Golden State was trailing by two points entering the fourth quarter before Dampier scored five points to fuel a 14-4 run. His lay-in with 4:50 to play snapped a 76-76 tie and put Golden State ahead for good.

The Warriors, who defeated the Spurs for the first time in three meetings this season, were without guard Bimbo Coles, who was placed on the injured list with bone spurs in his right foot.

Rookie Tim Duncan scored a season-high 35 points to go along with 17 rebounds and David Robinson added 18 and 17 for the Spurs, who scored just 27 points in the second half and managed just one field goal over the final 7:21.
