Game Story

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Tyrone Hill scored a season-high 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks earned their most convincing victory of the season, 106-78 over the struggling Golden State Warriors.

Glenn Robinson added 19 points and Ray Allen had 18 for Milwaukee, which snapped a two-game home skid and posted its most decisive win since a 110-76 trouncing of Orlando on November 4, 1997.

"It was a good win, good basketball, and we had great contributions from the entire team," Bucks coach George Karl said. "I don't want the minutes and the scheduling of the month to be an excuse for my players."

Eight Bucks played at least 20 minutes as Milwaukee pulled away from the horrific-shooting Warriors, who are in the midst of a five-game, seven-day road trip, and won for the fourth straight time in the series.

Milwaukee used a 15-4 run in the second quarter to grab a 59-43 advantage and built a 32-point lead with 1:44 to play on consecutive 3-pointers by Dell Curry.

"We were long overdue for a game like this," said Bucks rookie Robert Traylor, who had six points and eight rebounds in 26 minutes.

John Starks scored 16 points for Golden State, which was 11-of-42 (26 percent) from the floor in the second half and shot 33 percent (27-of-81) for the game.

"We got beat, just flat out beat," said Warriors coach P.J. Carlesimo, whose team has lost the first three games on its road trip. "We didn't shoot well and we were a step slow. We were fatigued."

Starks gut Golden State's deficit to 44-39 just 57 seconds into the second half, but the Warriors shot 4-of-19 the rest of the quarter.

"We didn't execute," Starks said. "They gave us wide-open shots, but we couldn't hit them. When you don't give an effort, you get embarrassed. We were embarrassed tonight."

Elliot Perry had six points and eight assists for the Bucks, who extended their second-half run to 38-19 at 8:55 of the fourth quarter, when Curry hit the first of his three 3-pointers.

Allen scored 10 points during the extended burst and Hill added five, damaging Golden State inside with a layup and a pair of free throws.

"We had big help from Tyrone tonight," Robinson said. "We needed some inside scoring to get us some easier looks. We're trying to get to the hole a little more and get to the free throw line."

Milwaukee was 27-of-33 (82 percent) from the stripe and shot 47 percent (36-of-76) from the floor. Hill was 7-of-11 and fellow big man Armon Gilliam went 4-of-7 for 10 points.

Rookie Antawn Jamison scored 14 points and fellow reserve Donyell Marshall contributed 14 rebounds for the Warriors, who have lost three in a row after winning six of seven.
