Game Story

MIAMI (Ticker) -- For a change, the Miami Heat are doing it with offense.

Anthony Mason scored 21 points to lead a balanced attack as the Heat eclipsed 100 points in consecutive games for the first time this season with a 103-83 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

Perennially one of the toughest defensive teams under coach Pat Riley, the Heat have been on a scoring binge of late. During their three-game winning streak, they are averaging 101 points, 13.2 above their season average.

In collecting its ninth straight home win, Miami reached the century mark for just the eighth time this season. It beat the Los Angeles Lakers 103-92 on Sunday.

Eddie Jones scored 18 points and Brian Grant added 17 for the Heat (26-18), who have won 12 of their last 16 games and moved a season-high eight games over .500.

Vince Carter scored 21 a quiet points for the Raptors, who have lost two in a row after winning six of seven. Toronto has not won in Miami since February 13, 1996, the franchise's first season.
