Golden State (3-3) at New York (2-4) 7:30 pm EST ---------------------------------------------------------------- NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks try to remain unbeaten at home and continue their mastery of the Golden State Warriors on Saturday when they square off at Madison Square Garden.

Winless in four games on the road, New York has not lost in two contests at home this season and has won seven in a row at Madison Square Garden dating to last season. Its last defeat here was a 95-86 setback to the New Jersey Nets on March 23.

In addition, the Knicks have won five straight over Golden State and 10 of their last 11 encounters. They have captured the last two meetings at Madison Square Garden and five of the past six.

This is the first of three games at home for New York, which blew a 20-point first-half lead, tying the largest deficit it has wasted since 1991, in Friday's 103-95 defeat to the Indiana Pacers.

Latrell Sprewell scored 18 points and Allan Houston added 17 for the Knicks, who have yielded 100-plus points in two of their last three games.

Antawn Jamison and Larry Hughes each scored 26 points as Golden State won for the third time in four games, 109-100, Friday over the Washington Wizards.

Danny Fortson contributed 16 points and 16 rebounds for the Warriors, who improved to 3-3 -- marking the first time they are at .500 after six games since a 5-1 start in the 1991-92 season.

Golden State is 1-1 on its four-game road trip.
