Game StoryATLANTA (Ticker) -- Glenn Robinson seems to like his new surroundings. Robinson became the first Atlanta Hawks player to begin a season with three straight 30-point games as they handed the surprising Chicago Bulls their first loss, 98-92. "I didn't think I'd come here and have three straight 30-point games," Robinson said. "It's the best start I've had. My body's feeling well, I'm just feeling good right now." "Since day one we vibe like a magazine," said Jason Terry, who had 23 points and seven assists. Acquired from Milwaukee after wearing out his welcome with the Bucks, Robinson had 30 points, seven rebounds and three assists as Atlanta improved to 2-1. The "Big Dog" had 34 points in a season-opening loss at New Jersey and 30 in Thursday's 105-98 home win over Utah. "That's a great individual accomplishment, but I'm happier being over .500," Robinson said. "Hopefully, I can keep getting the numbers and the wins." "It's hard for a guy to do that, but on the other hand we haven't seen any reason why not," Hawks coach Lon Kruger said. "He's rebounding, he's doing a nice job defensively. The guys know he's playing hard and effectively and they all appreciate that." Robinson collected 18 points in the first half as the Hawks took a 57-44 edge into the break. The Bulls trailed by as many as 15 points in the fourth quarter but climbed within 84-81 with 3:34 to play when rookie Jay Williams completed a three-point play. But Theo Ratliff, who was called for goaltending on Williams' basket, countered with a pair of free throws and Robinson added two from the line to open a seven-point lead with 2:35 to play. Chicago got no closer than four points thereafter. Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who is recovering from a sore back, scored 13 points and Ratliff 12 with eight rebounds and six blocks for the Hawks, who shot just 43 percent (34-of-80) but limited the Bulls to 38 percent (35-of-92), including 15 percent from the arc (2-of-13). "This Hawk team is real focused," said Terry, who, like Robinson and Abdur-Rahim, averaged at least 19 points last season. "We have three guys who can score at will but very unselfish guys. We knew this was our season to prove it. Shareef's getting healthy. When he gets better, it's going to get scary." Jalen Rose paced Chicago with 24 points but made just 8-of-23 shots. Donyell Marshall chipped in 17 points and Marcus Fizer 14, including 10 in the fourth quarter, but Williams had only 10 on 3-of-12 shooting. Atlanta, which begins a five-game western road trip on Tuesday in Denver, won despite being outscored in the paint, 46-34. "We're going to stay focused and keep that intensity," Robinson said. "We have a five-game road swing out west. That's always difficult." "I don't even think we're at our comfort level yet," Terry added. "We have the chemistry, but we have a ways to go."
