Game StoryMEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Tracy McGrady stopped scoring and the Orlando Magic fell apart. McGrady scored 25 points in the first half but only 10 in the second as the Magic squandered a 13-point lead and were beaten, 99-86, by the Memphis Grizzlies. The NBA's leading scorer, McGrady returned from a back injury Wednesday and scored 46 points in a victory over Detroit. He shot 7-of-15 in the first half of this one as Orlando built a 57-47 lead. But McGrady was just 1-of-5 in the third quarter, when the Grizzlies used an 18-4 run to take a 68-64 lead. "They flipped the script on us," McGrady said. "What I mean by that is that during the first half, we were doing a pretty good job. They were in a man-to-man, so we were doing a pretty good job on that. We mixed it up on defense with them, playing a little man-to-man, playing a little bit of the zone. "They made some changes at halftime. You know how tough it is to beat teams when they are knocking down jumpers, and tonight we died by the jump shot." The teams traded baskets before Memphis went on a 15-2 run to seal its sixth win in seven home games. McGrady had eight points on 4-of-7 shooting in the final period, but it was too late to help the Magic. "They came out with a lot more energy," Orlando's Shawn Kemp said. "I think we really got passive out there during the second half." Rookie Gordan Giricek scored 18 points to lead six Grizzlies in double figures. Pau Gasol chipped in 12 and 10 rebounds. "We progress each day with our practices," Giricek said. "We have a pretty young team and we will continue to improve." Memphis led by as many as 15 points in the fourth quarter and held the Magic to 29 points in the second half after they scored 32 in the opening period. Orlando forward Grant Hill continues to be dogged by ankle problems. He played just four minutes without scoring in the first quarter before leaving with a sore left ankle. "We know how to play without Grant," McGrady said. "When he is not in the lineup, other guys have to (play better)." The Grizzlies snapped a nine-game losing streak against the Magic, winning for just the second time in the last 13 meetings. Stromile Swift and Mike Batiste each contributed 13 points off the bench and Jason Williams had 12 and seven assists for Memphis, which shot 45 percent (37-of-82) and had a 49-39 rebounding advantage. Mike Miller added 15 points but made just 5-of-16 shots and Pat Garrity had 12 for Orlando, which shot 40 percent (31-of-77).
