Game StoryORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- For 45 minutes, it appeared the Indiana Pacers weren't even interested. The Pacers awoke in time to erase a 10-point deficit in the last three minutes of regulation and hold the Orlando Magic to one basket over the final 8:50 to pull out a 101-97 overtime victory. After Mike Miller's jumper with 3:51 left in regulation gave the Magic a 94-84 lead, Indiana's fierce double-teaming defense did not allow Orlando another bucket in the quarter. Meanwhile, the Pacers went on an 11-0 run that Reggie Miller capped with his only basket of the second half, a signature 3-pointer from the right side with 24 seconds that gave Indiana a 95-94 advantage. "I told the guys not to panic down the stretch, we've been in these these types of ballgames," said Miller, who also had five steals. "I told them what's going to win is we're going to come (up) with stops, especially when we have to have stops." Darrell Armstrong, who had been shadowing Miller, left the prolific shooter to help inside when Al Harrington drove the lane. Harrington saw Miller alone and fed him for the open 3-pointer. "Darrell played hard and he just left. I don't know why, but he did it," Magic coach Doc Rivers said. "I'm sure he saw something, it's tough to ever get on this guy because he plays so hard. We all make mistakes." Orlando had a chance to regain the lead with eight seconds left when Jamaal Tinsley fouled Armstrong. But the 87 percent foul shooter missed the first before sinking the second to send the game into overtime. In overtime, Jermaine O'Neal, Tinsley and Ron Artest scored while the Magic shot just 1-for-9 and the Pacers had their seventh win in their last nine games. "We don't like these types of games, but we appear to be playing good like this," said Indiana coach Isiah Thomas. The Pacers have gone 4-2 over their last six games, three of which have gone into overtime and all of which have been decided by four points or less. O'Neal scored 21 points and had three of Indiana's season-high 18 steals. Artest, back after a three-game suspension for breaking a camera and a television monitor after last Friday's loss to New York, had 18 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Orlando's Tracy McGrady scored 23 points and had 10 assists, but was held scoreless by Artest over the final 11:39. "You know what, Tracy is a great player, but there's five people on the court," Artest said. "So it's not just about Tracy." Pat Garrity scored 16 of his 22 points in the third quarter and Mike Miller had 17 of his 21 in the first half for the Magic, who committed a season-high 24 turnovers. After O'Neal's basket with 3:34 left opened the scoring in overtime, Andrew DeClercq answered to tie it at 97-97. But that was all for Orlando, as Tinsley hit the go-ahead bucket with 2:05 to play and Artest iced it with pair from the line with 14 seconds left. "Everybody came together collectively, as a unit," O'Neal said. "We decided we had to have stops. They were getting a lot of open shots." O'Neal began the Pacers' late comeback with 3:03 remaining in regulation, hitting a short jumper. Tinsley followed with a bucket and Artest scored four straight before Miller's bomb. "Darn, why (Miller)?" asked McGrady. "Somebody else, not him, hitting shots like that ... He's the one guy we should have been on like glue, and not let out of our sight. We slipped up and you can't do that." Miller scored just nine points, going 2-of-7 from 3-point range as Indiana went 4-of-21 from beyond the arc.
