Game StoryDALLAS (Ticker) -- If Pete Myers planned on making a good first impression, he was sadly mistaken. Michael Finley scored a season-high 28 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 19 as the Dallas Mavericks continued their dominance of the Chicago Bulls with an easy 124-98 triumph. Myers was filling in behind the bench for Bill Cartwright, who was fired Monday. A Bulls scout before being tabbed to replace Cartwright on an interim basis, Myers watched his team commit many of the same mistakes that produced a 4-10 start. "I would do anything they would ask me to do, that is the bottom line," Myers said when asked about taking the job on a full-time basis. "I'm not afraid of (our) guys. I would go to war with them. I know there's some guys in there that want to win." "We knew that they would come out with a lot of energy and coach (Don) Nelson made us aware of that fact," Nowitzki said. "We matched their energy from the beginning on." Antawn Jamison had 15 points, Antoine Walker 12 and Steve Nash 11 as the Mavericks cruised to their 11th straight win against Chicago. Many of those games have been blowouts as Dallas has scored 100 points in all but two of those contests. The Bulls have reached the century mark just once. Tyson Chandler had 17 points and Jamal Crawford added 13 for Chicago, which has lost six straight overall and fell to 0-8 against Western Conference opponents this season. Dallas, which is 8-0 at home, had all 12 players score in the same game for the first time this season. "We were a pretty good team last year and we were the best road team," Nelson said. "I'd like us to get back to feeling good about being on the road. At home, we've been good so far." The game was deadlocked, 27-27, with 1:40 left in the first quarter when Finley ignited a 24-11 run. Walker capped it with a 3-pointer midway through the second period. Finley, who made 12-of-18 shots, had nine in key run. He is averaging 19.3 points in his last seven games after averaging just over 10 through the season's first seven. "Mike was incredible tonight," Nash said. "He made some great shots for us and passed the ball well, defended well, and he had a great all-around game." "Mike was hot tonight," Walker added. "We found him and got him into a good rhythm tonight. We moved the basketball well. We were very unselfish and looked for one another, and that's the staple of our team." Any chance the Bulls had of getting back in the game ended when Dallas put together perhaps its best quarter of the season. The Mavericks made 16-of-21 shots in the third period and outscored Chicago, 41-20, essentially turning the final 12 minutes into garbage time. "We came out in the second half with a lot of energy," Walker said. "We just tried to push the lead open."
