Game StoryBOSTON (Ticker) -- Paul Pierce bounced back from an early injury to record his third career triple-double as the Boston Celtics rolled to a 106-96 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Boston got a scare just two minutes into the game, when Pierce collided with Milwaukee center Daniel Santiago and fell to the floor. The All-Star guard clearly was in pain as he walked to the bench, where he had the trainer massage his neck and right shoulder. "When I turned around, my neck snapped and it sent some numbness down my right arm and I felt a sharp pain," Pierce said. "But it went away." Pierce responded to the treatment quickly, returning to the court four minutes later, and the Celtics took the lead for good shortly thereafter. He finished with 26 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds for his third triple-double since the start of the 2002-03 season. "I've been getting more comfortable as each game goes along," he said. "Finding my spots as to where I'm going to be able to score and where I'm going to be able to pass. I'm getting more comfortable and that's pretty much it." "Whatever it takes to win, he's doing it," Celtics guard Mike James said. "He's got to get it done for us and he was able to do it tonight." Pierce scored the final nine points of the first quarter for Boston, which made 12-of-20 shots in the period. Marcus Banks scored nine of 11 points consecutively in a span of 1:41 in the second quarter. He buried a 3-pointer for a 35-31 edge with 7:33 left and sank a jumper 20 seconds later. Banks added a pair of free throws with 6:50 to go for an eight-point edge. Joe Smith ended the run with a jumper, but Banks responded with an 18-footer at the 5:52 mark. Raef LaFrentz scored six of his 14 points to close an 11-2 spurt late in the quarter, capping it with a 3-pointer for a 56-41 cushion with 94 seconds left. Boston shot 58 percent (23-of-40) in the first half and led by as many as 19 points four times in the third quarter. It finished the game at 53 percent (41-of-78) while limiting Milwaukee to just 42 percent (34-of-82) shooting. "We didn't have a lot of energy from the get-go tonight," Bucks coach Terry Porter said. "We didn't have the spark that we needed from our starters and our bench had to provide that." The Celtics, who reached 100 points for the first time, have not allowed an opponent to reach the century mark through their first 15 games - the longest streak to start a season in NBA history. Michael Redd scored 20 points and Desmond Mason added 16, seven rebounds and six assists for the Bucks, who finish a home-and-home series with the Celtics on Saturday at the Bradley Center. "(The Celtics) were very energized tonight," Redd said. "We knew that coming in and we just didn't match their intensity. They dominated the whole game. When you get in a big hole like that, it hurts."
