Game StoryHOUSTON (Ticker) -- After a tough road trip, Cuttino Mobley and the Houston Rockets enjoyed being back at home. Mobley scored a season-high 32 points to help the Houston Rockets outlast the Utah Jazz, 107-101, in overtime. "We should be angry every time we lose and the more we can get that into our heads, the better," Mobley said. "Nothing except a win is acceptable." Houston went 1-5 on its recent road trip, including a 83-76 loss to Utah on November 26. The Rockets are 6-1 at home this season. Yao Ming added 20 points and Steve Francis had 18 as Houston snapped Utah's season-high four-game winning streak. "This was a very big win for us considering that we did not have a very good road trip and we lost three in a row," Francis said. "After not playing all that well for those four games, it was good to get a victory and I think everybody is pleased with the win and the way we played, but we have a tough hill to climb." Matt Harpring led Utah with 19 points while Andrei Kirilenko also had 19 and added eight steals. The Rockets opened overtime with a 10-2 run to build a 104-96 lead with 1:28 left. "We weren't so aggressive in the overtime and we have to concentrate better," Kirilenko said. "It seemed that we never could get our passing game going, but then Yao made a great pass out to Eric (Piatkowski) to start us out there in OT," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "But with 23 turnovers, you can't really talk about good passing tonight." Houston committed nine turnovers in the first quarter as Utah built a 28-15 lead. The absence of Jimmy Jackson might have affected the Rockets' ballhandling. Jackson missed the game for Houston due to the flu. Bostjan Nachbar replaced Jackson in the starting lineup and had just five points. It was the first time this season that Houston used a different starting lineup. "We definitely have to cut down on the turnovers," Mobley said. "It's just a matter of getting to the point where we are unselfish. We made up for it." Utah shooting guard DeShawn Stevenson also sat out with the flu. Rookie Aleksandar Pavlovic replaced Stevenson and scored 18 points. Yao's bucket gave Houston a 94-93 lead with 17 seconds remaining in regulation. Kirilenko tied the score, 94-94, by hitting 1-of-2 free throws with 5.6 seconds left. "We should have won the game in regulation if I had made the free throw," Kirilenko said. Utah rookie guard Raul Lopez missed a potential winning 3-pointer at the buzzer. Lopez injured his right ankle on the play and did not play in overtime. He is day-to-day.
