Game StoryMEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Mike Miller scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half as the Memphis Grizzlies posted their fourth straight win over the Orlando Magic, 112-103. Acquired from Orlando last February, Miller had nine points in the second quarter as the Grizzlies built a 60-49 halftime edge. Memphis kept up the pressure at the start of the second half and cruised to its second straight win following a seven-game losing streak. "It was nice to get Mike in the flow tonight because he's a scorer," Memphis coach Hubie Brown said. "It's nice that he's unselfish with the ball, but the coaching staff wishes he'd shoot the ball more." "I'll say it again, I am a shooter," Miller insisted. "Sometimes I get in the passing mode and sometimes I'm in the scoring mode. It worked out good, and the bottom line is it worked for us." Pau Gasol added 17 points and Bonzi Wells chipped in 16 off the bench for Memphis, which is 11-5 at home but just 6-12 on the road. Stromile Swift contributed to the big bench effort with 14 points and a season-high 14 rebounds. "They got some good production from their second unit," Magic coach Johnny Davis said. "Bonzi Wells and Stromile Swift played at a high level tonight." At 17-17, the Grizzlies are at the .500 mark at the latest point in franchise history. The win also put Brown one win from Sidney Lowe's franchise record of 46. Tracy McGrady led Orlando with 34 points, but the Magic lost their fourth straight game and fell to 3-14 on the road. "It's a lack of defense," McGrady said. "We dig ourselves into a deep hole and when we do make that run in the second half, we don't have enough energy to pull it out." McGrady, who appears affected by the team's constant losing, was asked about Orlando's intensity. "I don't feel it," he said. "Before, when we got on a little winning streak, yeah, I saw it then. But now we have dropped a few and I don't think it's true." Memphis recorded a seson-high 35 assists and the 112 points were a season best for a non-overtime game. The Grizzlies closed the first quarter with a 10-4 run for a 29-23 lead. The Magic got within 41-36 midway through the second quarter, but James Posey buried a 3-pointer that sparked a 13-2 run. Miller had eight points during the burst and Gasol capped it with two free throws with with 3:33 left. Orlando trailed by as many as 20 points in the second half but tried to get back in it with a 14-2 run early in the fourth quarter. A 13-4 burst in the final 3 1/2 minutes got the Magic within 107-101 with 69 seconds to play, but Swift dunked and Orlando got no closer.
