Game StoryHOUSTON (Ticker) -- Kelvin Cato had one of his best defensive efforts of the season to help the Houston Rockets to their second straight win. Cato contributed 11 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks as the Rockets cruised to an 84-63 rout of the shorthanded Utah Jazz. Steve Francis led Houston with 17 points and Yao Ming added 16 and two blocks as the Rockets held the Jazz to a season-low point total. "We're playing good but not great," Cato said. "My conditioning is getting better. I got in better condition this summer when we got a new coach." DeShawn Stevenson scored 11 points and Andrei Kirilenko had 10, but they were the only players in double figures for Utah, which was without injured forwards Harpring and Ben Handlogten. Harpring sat out with a strained right knee and Handlogten will miss the rest of the season after tearing ligaments in his left knee. "They played good defense, we were playing not so good offensively," Kirilenko said. "I think we lost the game because we lost on rebounds, especially on defensive ones." Houston used a 12-0 run to build a 33-20 lead with 5:33 to go before halftime. "We beat ourselves in the beginning and didn't give ourselves a chance to win the game," Utah guard Carlos Arroyo said. Clarence Weatherspoon, acquired Tuesday from New York dressed but did not play for the Rockets. Utah shot 35 percent (24-of-68) from the field, 58 percent (14-of-24) from the free-throw line and was outrebounded, 44-31. "The Jazz do a lot of movement," Rockets guard Cuttino Mobley said. "That's the hardest team to guard. You have to be fundamentally sound. It's individual and team defense." This was the third meeting between the teams this season, with Houston winning twice on its home court. "Once you play the same team you played last month and play them again and again, you tend to scout them and get better defensively and offensively," Arroyo said. Utah has lost five of its last seven on the road to fall to 4-13 away from home.
