Game StoryLOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Eddie House found a comfortable spot in the left corner and used it - twice. House buried a game-tying 3-pointer late in regulation and sealed the game with a jumper in overtime as the Los Angeles Clippers posted a 103-96 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. The Trail Blazers had a 92-89 lead after Derek Anderson made a pair of free throws with 12 seconds remaining in regulation. The Clippers ran a play for House, who came off a double screen from Elton Brand and caught the ball in the left corner before burying the open 3-pointer. "We drew up the play, I came off a screen and it worked to perfection," said House, who scored 10 points in 19 minutes. "E.B. set a good screen and I got the ball and I hit the shot." Brand, who had 18 points and nine rebounds despite an injured right hand, gave Los Angeles the lead for good at 96-94 on a three-point play with 2:03 left in the extra period. Los Angeles guard Corey Maggette followed with consecutive baskets for a 100-94 cushion. It was a measure of redemption for Maggette, who missed a wide-open game-winning shot in Sunday's overtime loss to Memphis. "We were in the same situation (as Sunday) but tonight we fought out of it," Maggette said. "We'll take the win anyway it goes. We just want the team to get better." After Portland's Damon Stoudamire answered with a jumper, House sealed the game with a long jumper from just inside the 3-point line in the left corner - nearly exactly where he made the game-tying basket - with 37 seconds to go. "You just have to stay with your shots," House said. "I've been struggling with my shot all year. I just keep trying to be consistent and stay shooting my shot the same way. I have been feeling it and felt it at the most opportune time tonight." Maggette scored 32 points and Bobby Simmons added 15, seven rebounds and six assists for Los Angeles, which won for just the sixth time in its last 28 meetings with Portland. "(The Clippers) hit some big shots," Trail Blazers forward Ruben Patterson said. "It's a disappointing loss. They played hard and stuck with it, we just let the game go." Stoudamire scored 17 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter and Anderson had a season-high 22 for the Trail Blazers, who have the worst road record in the NBA at 2-15. The Trail Blazers did not survive another subpar performance from Zach Randolph, who had 12 points on 6-of-19 shooting and 13 rebounds. He has just 40 points on 14-of-48 shooting in his last three games. Portland played its third consecutive game without star forward Rasheed Wallace, who is sidelined with a sprained ankle.
