Game StoryLOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Chicago native Corey Maggette made sure the Los Angeles Clippers continued their dominance over his hometown team. Maggette scored 28 points on 10-of-13 shooting to lead the Clippers to seventh straight win over the Chicago Bulls, 102-92. "The main point is just to get a win," Maggette said. "We've been playing (below the level) of what we should be playing, so we just need to win." "Tonight Corey stepped up and played big for us, and that was probably the difference," Los Angeles forward Quentin Richardson added. Elton Brand added 20 points and 11 rebounds and Marko Jaric had 14 points and 10 assists for the Clippers, who have not lost to the Bulls since February 19, 2000. Five players scored in double figures as Los Angeles shot 53 percent (40-of-75) and extended its home winning streak to three games. "We had great passing, were very unselfish with the ball and got a lot of easy layups as a result," Brand said. "That's how we need to play and when we do, we are a difficult team to beat." The Clippers never trailed but caught fire in the third quarter, making 13-of-19 shots and stretching an eight-point halftime lead to 81-62. Los Angeles held the Bulls' starters to 38 points. The bench kept Chicago close for awhile, outscoring the Clippers' reserves, 54-16. "We came out strong defensively and set the tone early," Los Angeles coach Mike Dunleavy said. "We did a good job of moving the ball and for the most part got good shots. With a long East Coast road trip coming up, it's good to go out with some momentum." The Clippers begin an eight-game, 14-day trip Friday in Miami. They won't return home until February 19 against Boston. Eddie Robinson, who missed two games with a strained groin, led the Bulls with 17 points and Jamal Crawford had 13. Chicago has lost five straight road games. "We had some good stretches in the game where we played active defensively," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "Statistically, we were dominated in the game. They killed us on the glass." "It's tough on the road when you have to come back," Robinson added. "We dug ourselves too much of a hole." Bulls forward Scottie Pippen returned after missing Sundayh's win over Toronto due to soreness in his left knee. He played eight minutes and was scoreless on 0-of-2 shooting with two rebounds.
