Game StoryHOUSTON (Ticker) -- Jimmy Jackson's 21-footer from the left wing as time expired lifted the Houston Rockets to an 82-80 triumph over the Chicago Bulls. Houston snapped a season-high four-game losing streak Wednesday and looked to have matters well in hand with a 15-point lead early in the fourth quarter. But the Rockets allowed the Bulls to get back into the game with a 16-2 burst. The game was tied, 80-80, with seven seconds left when Cuttino Mobley made a quick move to the basket before kicking the ball out to Jackson. After a fake right and with Jerome Williams' outstretched hand in his face, Jackson calmly launched his decisive shot. "It felt good went it left my hand," Jackson said. "I didn't see it in the air because Jerome Williams was right in my face. I just saw the end result when the ball went through." "It was a good play by Cuttino Mobley," Houston coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "We gave the ball to him in the middle of the court and wanted him to either create a shot or find someone open. It was an unselfish play by him. Jimmy (Jackson) knocked down a big shot for us." Jackson, who missed 10 of his previous 14 shots, finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Yao Ming led the Rockets with 22 points. Eddy Curry scored 21 points and Jamal Crawford chipped in 15 for the Bulls, who completed a 2-5 road trip. They have dropped 14 of 16 overall. "We executed our offense and did a lot of things well, and I feel sorry for our guys that we couldn't get the win," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "I'm proud of the way we played. It was a difficult game and we kept battling." Chicago trailed by 15 points just over a minute into the fourth quarter and were down 67-54 with nine minutes to go. But Marcus Fizer had a thunderous dunk with 8:01 left, sparking a 16-2 burst. Crawford had 10 of the points, including eight straight at one point. Curry gave the Bulls a 70-69 edge on a layup off a feed from Crawford with 4:44 remaining. "You'd hope that wouldn't happen, but it did," Van Gundy said of the fourth-quarter collapse. "You have to give Chicago credit. They kept playing. It started with a couple of turnovers. We started the quarter badly." "We left the door open for Chicago to get back into the game," Jackson said. "They have enough offensive talent to get back into it. If we don't play right, we can lose any lead." Chicago made 11-of-20 shots from the field and held a 14-5 rebounding edge in the final quarter. "They got the big lead, but we were determined not to give up," Curry said. "We had our chances to stretch the lead but didn't get the shots to fall. I thought we would at least send it to overtime but he ended that." Houston had 16 turnovers and missed nine of 11 3-point attempts.
