Game StoryLOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Rasheed Wallace found his shooting touch at the right time. Wallace helped fuel a big run in the fourth quarter, when the Detroit Pistons held the Los Angeles Clippers without a basket for 5 1/2 minutes en route to a 100-88 victory. After missing 10 of 12 shots in Friday's win over Atlanta, Wallace struggled through three quarters in this one, going 1-of-12 from the field while also picking up a technical foul. But Wallace got going in the fourth quarter, making two jumpers and a 3-pointer in a 16-3 run that started the period and gave the Pistons an 85-75 lead with 5:06 remaining. Wallace scored nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter. "You just gotta keep shooting and that's what I did today," said Wallace, who finished 5-of-17 from the field and also grabbed 10 rebounds. The Pistons also clamped down defensively, holding the Clippers to one basket over the first 5:33 of the fourth period. In the final quarter, the Clippers made just 6-of-24 shots. "Rasheed got hot, we turned the ball over and we did not execute," Clippers forward Elton Brand said. "We weren't getting good shots because they changed their defense. They started fronting players, and we didn't adjust well." Chauncey Billups scored 28 points and Richard Hamilton added 21 for the Pistons, who overcame the ejection of coach Larry Brown won their fourth straight game in the opener of a five-game road trip. "This was a great win for us and I think it sets the tone for the rest of the road trip," Billups said. "Today we faced a lot of adversity, but I am proud of the guys." "We put them on lock-down in the second half and that was the difference in the game," Hamilton said. Brown was ejected with 16 seconds left in the first quarter after picking up his second technical foul. Brown and Wallace also were whistled for technicals with 3:33 left in the opening period. Brand had 26 points and 10 rebounds and Quentin Richardson 22 and 10 for Los Angeles, which lost for the seventh time in 10 games. "We just didn't react," Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said. "We let this one get away. We just didn't have the mental toughness as we did in the first half." Corey Maggette and Richardson each scored 15 points in the first half for the Clippers, who led by as many as 12 points before settling for a 55-51 advantage at the break. A jumper by Richardson pushed the Clippers' advantage to 70-61 with 3:49 left in the third quarter, but the Pistons gathered momentum with an 8-2 run to end the period. Ben Wallace collected 13 points and 13 rebounds and Corliss Williamson added 10 points off the bench for the Pistons, who shot 48.5 percent (33-of-65) en route to their first win in four seasons over the Clippers in Los Angeles. Maggette netted 19 points as Los Angeles shot 43 percent (35-of-82).
