Game StoryORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Jannero Pargo, making his first career start, scored 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter as the Chicago Bulls handed the Orlando Magic their ninth straight loss, 109-91. Jamal Crawford scored 27 points and Eddy Curry added 24 for the Bulls (21-54) who snapped a five-game losing streak and moved 2 1/2 games ahead of the Magic (19-57) in the race to avoid the worst record in the league. "I got my legs underneath me and got into a rhythm," Pargo said. "When you are knocking down shots like that, you just want to stay aggressive." Orlando led, 53-49, at the half behind 20 points from Juwan Howard. But Chicago reeled off 13 straight points over a 1:40 span of the third quarter to take a 70-59 advantage. The Magic scored a season-low 12 points in the third quarter. "We had a moment in the third where we turned it up," Chicago coach Scott Skiles said. "We talked about it during the timeout, and the guys came out and played much better defense. As a result, we got better looks at the basket and Jannero got hot and we were able to pull away." Pargo scored 11 points over the first 3 1/2 minutes of the final period to give the Bulls an 86-71 lead. He finished 10-of-20 from the floor. "We knew he could score, but he's scoring in bunches," Crawford said. "We are calling plays for him. He's picking things up well and giving it his all." Howard scored 26 points to lead Orlando, which earlier Wednesday placed NBA scoring leader Tracy McGrady on the injured list. McGrady likely will miss the rest of the season with a sore left knee. "We couldn't score tonight," Orlando coach Johnny Davis said. "It's tough to stay involved when you can't score the basketball. Obviously, I's like to see us play differently, but in terms of reflection as the head coach, you put it right here, right here on me. I don't belive in taking the blame to the players. The blame is mine." Bulls rookie Kirk Hinrich missed the game due to food poisoning and teammate Tyson Chandler sat out with a sore lower back.
