Game StoryAUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Richard Hamilton and the Detroit Pistons provided more evidence of how tough they are at home. Hamilton scored 10 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Pistons capped a perfect six-game homestand with a 74-66 victory over the Toronto Raptors. "That was ugly," Detroit coach Larry Brown said. "But we defended well enough, especially down the stretch. Rip (Hamilton) did some unbelievable things late and we got a win." Both teams shot just 34 percent from the field. "I thought we played a good ballgame against a very good team," said Raptors coach Kevin O'Neill, a former Pistons assistant. "We played well and had the tempo when we needed to have it to give ourselves a chance near the end." Detroit extended its home winning streak to 10 games, improving to 30-10 at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The Pistons (52-27) have clinched home-court advantage through the first two rounds of the playoffs. After Detroit native Jalen Rose's jumper pulled Toronto (31-48) within 64-62 with 4:31 left, Hamilton answered with back-to-back baskets for a six-point cushion. Hamilton also added a pair of foul shots for a 71-64 cushion with 1:17 remaining. "It was kind of a tough game to score, but when it was time for us to step up in the fourth quarter, I think we did that," Hamilton said. Toronto star Vince Carter finished with 18 points on 6-of-21 shooting. Carter missed his first four shots of the fourth quarter before a meaningless layup with 34 seconds to go. Rookie Chris Bosh also scored 18 points for the Raptors. "We knew coming into tonight it was going to be a defensive game, and we just came up a little short," Bosh said. "They made some key stops when they needed to and made key buckets down the stretch, and that's what made the difference in the end." The Pistons have beaten Toronto six straight times at home and 13 of the last 17 overall.
