Game StoryATLANTA (Ticker) -- Not even the friendly confines of Philips Arena could reverse the fortunes of the Atlanta Hawks. The winless Hawks suffered another double-digit loss, absorbing a 93-79 setback to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who got 27 points from Zydrunas Ilgauskas and 25 from LeBron James. After opening the season with three road losses by an average of 22.3 points, the Hawks carried a 54-52 lead into the second half in their first home contest. But after Al Harrington's free throw 1:27 into the third quarter gave Atlanta (0-4) a five-point edge, Jeff McInnis ignited an 18-5 run with a 23-foot jumper with 8:56 to go. McInnis and James each had seven points during the run, with McInnis capping it at 70-62 with a 3-pointer with 2:39 left. "This was a needed win for us," Cleveland coach Paul Silas said. "Finally getting a win has to change our attitude. We finally started playing some defense in the second half. We had not played that kind of defense in the first three games. I think LeBron lead the charge, he got a dunk and we made a couple of 3-pointers." McInnis scored 17 points and James collected 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers (1-3), who have won four straight meetings with the Hawks. "Coach can play me as many minutes as he wants to," said James, who played all 48 minutes. "I have to help my team win. I have to go out and prepare myself the best way I can." It was a tale of two halves for the Hawks, who were staked to a 40-33 advantage four minutes through the second quarter after a layup by Antoine Walker. But like old times, Atlanta was inconsistent in the second half, scoring a franchise-low 25 points, shooting just 25 percent (7-for-28) from the field and committing 11 turnovers. "We had trouble scoring in the second half," 13-year veteran and former Georgia Tech star Kenny Anderson said. "They knocked down shots and we didn't. First half, things were going well. We were playing well defensively early, but we couldn't sustain it. We're not giving up. We're in a funk right now, but we're not going to stop working hard." The Hawks' previous low for points in a half of 26, established November 19, 1996 at Cleveland and matched November 15, 2000 at Milwaukee. "We need to keep working," Walker said. "By far, the guys in the locker room are not giving up as a team. I knew it was going to be a tough battle. You have to realize it's a marathon." Walker scored 22 points and added nine boards for the Hawks, who have yet to win under new coach Mike Woodson. "I'm hungry to bring a winner here to Atlanta," said Woodson, who finished his playing career with the Cavaliers in 1991. "We had some pretty good minutes in stretches tonight, but it's got to be for 48 minutes it can't be for just a half. We played pretty good in the first half, and in the third and fourth quarter we just couldn't put together."
