Game StoryINDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Chris Webber and Mike Bibby kept the Sacramento Kings rolling and the Indiana Pacers reeling. Webber scored 24 of his 26 points in regulation and Bibby had two key baskets in overtime as the Kings hung on for a 97-92 victory over the Pacers, who have lost seven in a row. Webber produced his second straight strong game since sitting out a contest to rest his sore right knee. He scored eight points in just over six minutes in the fourth quarter to lead Sacramento back from a five-point deficit early in the period. "Definitely it was a nice win," Webber said. "I was nervous, really nervous going into tonight's game. I will say one thing right now, we respect the heck out of the Indiana Pacers." In two games since his break, Webber has scored 51 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. In overtime, Bibby made a steal and raced in for a layup to give the Kings an 89-87 lead with 2:24 left. His jumper 70 seconds later put Sacramento ahead to stay, 91-90. "I would have rather gotten the win in regulation, but we were able to get some defensive stops when we needed it in overtime and pull out the victory," Bibby said. Doug Christie made a pair of free throws and ex-Pacer Brad Miller hit four straight from the line in the final 13 seconds to seal the win. Indiana guard Reggie Miller missed a potential tying 3-pointer with six seconds left. The Kings, who overcame 24 turnovers, have won 13 of their last 15 games and improved to 78-16 vs. Eastern Conference opponents since 2001. "It's a win. It was quite a battle," Sacramento coach Rick Adelman said. "We were terrible (with the turnovers). There were hardly any forced. You don't have to make the home run play. We were lucky to win down the stretch." A pair of giveaways in the final 30 seconds of regulation doomed the Kings' chances to win it before overtime. The Pacers are struggling through their worst slide since February 1993. With point guard Jamaal Tinsley out for the third straight game with a sprained ankle, Indiana again was too thin to survive down the stretch. "For them to be depleted the way they are and to be playing with that group of guys the way they are says a lot about what this organization is about," Webber said. Austin Croshere, who played with some pain after suffering an apparent foot injury in the fourth quarter, did all he could to pick up the slack. He scored 21 points and gave the Pacers their last lead, 90-89, with a long 3-pointer in overtime. Jeff Foster scored 11 points and swept a career-high 18 boards for Indiana, which made just 3-of-24 3-pointers. Miller, the league's all-time leading 3-point shooter, was 1-of-9 from the arc, missing his last six. "Shooting, there is no explanation as to why we are missing 3-pointers," said Croshere, who was 2-of-8 from 3-point range. "It could be because of the lack of our post game which does not allow us to kick the back back out and give our guys good open looks. "Tonight we were so close and could have very well won this game." The Pacers rank among the league leaders in 3-pointers made per game but have hit just 18-of-77 (23 percent) over their last four contests. Sacramento has won six straight in the series.
