Game StoryDENVER (Ticker) -- The Denver Nuggets could not be heading into the playoffs any hotter. If the Memphis Grizzlies keep playing like this, they may not make it at all. Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points and the Nuggets won their 10th straight game, cruising to a 111-102 victory over the Grizzlies. Denver (48-31) never trailed and led by as many as 25 points in the first half to post its 15th win in 16 games and improve to 24-2 since the All-Star break. Memphis (44-35) had a chance to seal a postseason berth Wednesday but lost at Houston. With Minnesota winning at Utah on Friday, Memphis has a two-game lead and the tiebreaker edge for the final playoff spot with three games remaining. The Nuggets put this one away early, racing to a 34-16 lead after the first quarter and holding a 67-48 cushion at the half. "Denver obviously dominated us in the first half," Memphis coach Mike Fratello said. "Denver is to be commended. They have been on a roll their last 26 games and they are a very deserving team of moving up into the position they are in." Memphis, which has now lost 14 straight games in Denver dating back to 1997, pulled within six points after Marcus Camby left the game with a strained right hamstring in the third quarter. Kenyon Martin and Nene kept the game out of reach, combining for 15 points in the final quarter. "We needed to concentrate on our rebounding and defense after Camby went out," NeNe said. "We started very good in the first half, but in the second half we lost our focus a little. We were up over 20 points and they came back. We can't let that happen." "It's human nature when you are up 15-20 points to give it back a little. We can't do that in the playoffs," Denver coach George Karl said. "If we give back leads in the playoffs like we do now, it will be devastating." Denver swept the four-game season series from Memphis and pulled into a tie with Houston for sixth place in the Western Conference. Camby is a game-time decision when Denver visits Houston on Saturday. "The Houston game tomorrow is going to be the biggest game of the season," Nuggets guard Andre Miller said. "We've got to go down there and get it done." "Tomorrow night's game at Houston is going to be a lot of fun," Karl added. "We need to keep winning games, keep our edge, and make sure everyone gets healthy." Martin scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Miller added 15 and eight assists for Denver. "This whole road trip has been tough on us," Grizzlies guard Bonzi Wells said. "We're pressing to try to get that one victory and guarantee our spot in the playoffs. We haven't shot the ball well lately. We have to get back to the basics and play the way we know how to play." Mike Miller scored 17 points and Lorenzen Wright and Brian Cardinal each added 16 for Memphis, which will try again to clinch a playoff spot Saturday at San Antonio. The Nuggets are 18-1 at home under Karl and 31-6 overall.
